Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

In Matthew 19, we find Jesus in the middle of an incredibly sobering sermon, one heavy with cultural importance. And for whatever reason, people start bringing little children to Jesus so that he can place hands on them and pray for them. We think it’s pretty profound that in the middle of an important sermon, Jesus paused to bless and pray for the children that were brought to him. There is such humility in that action. The earth had a living, breathing Savior for a tiny blip in the span of history and He stopped. He welcomed. He blessed the children. This was His important work, too.

We find that incredibly humbling as we lead the children God entrusts to us at Anchor. We have so much to learn from these children. We take this work seriously, but we also play our hearts out all the while!

During Sunday gatherings we offer classes for ages 4 months through 5th grade, with 3rd-5th grades joining us in the gathering during the first Sunday of every month. We also have busy bags for use during the gathering and a soothing room for those kids who might want to stay closer to their families on any given Sunday.

We would love to have your family join us here!
