The Apostles’ Creed has been described as a complete summary of what the first followers of Jesus believed.
In the early church it was used to teach Christian truths and prepare Jesus-followers for baptism. It gave a sense of unity to a young church seeking a way forward in the midst of a world that was antagonistic to the way and community of Jesus.
Two-thousand Year’s later it’s something recited by nearly every denomination on nearly every continent weekly, if not daily.
We’re excited to dive into the Apostles’ Creed and the verses that support it this summer and together learn what it means to “believe” in the truth and way of Jesus.
