Church Strategy and Vision Implementation

  • Partner with Lead Pastor and the Executive Team to develop and implement annual strategic plan to forward vision of Anchor Church

  • Facilitate the annual strategic planning process including evaluation of ministry performance; review of mission, vision, and core values; development of key objectives and tactics; and establishment of 1, 3 and 5 year strategic initiatives.

  • Provide feasibility and cost analysis for implementation of possible
    Strategic initiatives

  • Work with Lead Pastor to develop and manage church planting residency program

Financial Oversight

  • Oversee the financial activities of the church, including enforcement of the
    church budget, cash-flow, financial policies and forecasting

  • Prepare initial draft of church budget with Lead Pastor and Executive Team; submit budget through approval process

  • Oversee the finance committee, and organize/conduct the finance

  • Develop annual financial plans with Executive Team that fund the accomplishment of the strategic plan.

  • Conduct periodic church meetings to apprise the congregation of church

Oversight of Business/Legal Operations.  

  • Manage church activities to limit risk of impairment to 501(c)(3) status

  • Ensure that the church complies with all applicable laws, including registration with the Washington Secretary of State

  • Procure and manage insurance coverage so that all activities are adequately covered

  • Oversee property and building management and all contracts related to building maintenance, renovation and construction 

Human Resources & Staff Care

  • Pursuant to the Church’s HR Policy, oversee, manage, and mentor church

  • Work with the Executive Team to create new job positions/descriptions,
    and fill open positions

  • Ensure that staff are following church policies

  • Ensure that annual staff reviews are being properly conducted by other

  • Ensure the operational readiness of the church through leadership and oversight of the support staff

  • Establish and maintain a set of key performance measures (KPMs) that provide the Executive Team and Board with progress towards strategic initiatives.

  • Manage employee benefits

Position Requirements

  •  Demonstrates spiritual gifts of leadership and administration

  •  Demonstrates ability to provide pastoral care

  •  Proven ability to work with volunteers, lead teams and delegate ministry

  • Sufficient experience lead and oversee area of ministry responsibility

  • Sufficient experience managing financial and plant operations of a mid to large
    sized organization

Office Administrator (15 Hrs.)

Basic Functions

  • Support full-time staff and ministry leads with administrative functions

  • Print and prepare all materials for Sunday gatherings

  • Input data and into Planning Center

  • Work with Lead Pastor and other staff to maintain website

  • Work with Lead Pastor and graphic designers to maintain Anchor’s Social Media

  • Receive and respond to all incoming communication

  • Maintain Anchor Church calendar

Position Requirements

  • Detail-oriented

  • Able to focus on both daily tasks and ongoing projects

  • Able to receive direction

  • Familiar with a wide variety of programs (including Google Docs, Planning Center, etc.)
