Anchor School’s Spiritual Formation Cohort is an 18-month, retreat-based learning community designed to help you go deeper with God and with others. As you embark on this journey, you won’t just gain knowledge—you’ll be transformed in your relationship with the God who loves you.

Through immersive retreats, thoughtful teaching, and biblical wisdom drawn from trusted voices across the ages, you’ll be invited into a deeper life with God. In small groups where you are truly known, you’ll grow in self-awareness and spiritual discernment. Upon completion, you’ll earn a Spiritual Formation Certificate—equipping you to multiply what you’ve received in the lives of others.

EARN A SPIRITUAL FORMATION CERTIFICATE.

Cohort participants earn a 30-credit Anchor School Spiritual Formation Certificate upon completing the 18-month program.

Twice each year—in fall and spring—you’ll step away for one of four immersive retreats where instructors teach, model, and walk with you in your formation journey. Between retreats, you’ll meet monthly in a small group of 3–4, learning to attend to the Spirit as you listen deeply to others.

This guided introduction to group spiritual direction lays the foundation for future training as a spiritual director.

Program Details

The Spiritual Formation Cohort invites followers of Jesus into a deeper life with God. Whether you’re pursuing personal renewal or formal training in spiritual formation, you’ll be shaped by both the breadth and depth of this experience. As you learn to trust and attend to God’s guiding presence—Father, Son, and Spirit—you will be transformed along the way.

Applications are required, and enrollment is limited to 20 participants to ensure depth of community and personal attention. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due upon acceptance.

The Cohort is an exclusive offering of Anchor School and operates independently from Anchor School’s academic collaboration with Crown College.
